Details of proposed work
If you would like to be part of AT8, please send (to etalucitra@gmail.com) details of the work you intend to exhibit, by 15 November with: artist name and contacts, drawing/photo, dimensions and a brief written description of the planned work, and its location in either ground floor or upstairs in Articulate. All works will be accepted subject to size, safety, location etc, which will be negotiated between Articulate and the artist. For AT8, Articulate seeks works of varying size and designed to be installed throughout the space. Large works are welcome, subject to sufficient space. Articulate may need to negotiate location, size etc.with you once we know all works being proposed.
Installation
Works and/or plans need to be delivered on 4-5 December, and will be installed after that by Articulate or by artists in negotiation with Articulate. Equipment available includes 2 flat screens, 4 data projectors + media players, some sound equipment, ladders, drill and basic installation equipment available. If you have a complex install, please be in touch with Sue and Virginia via etalucitra@gmail.com
Please investigate the best method for both attachment/installation and removal/restoration of the site. Bring your own nails, screws, pins etc. Basic restoration materials (ladder, spacfilla, white wall paint and brushes) will be available and bring anything else you need yourself.
Room sheet
Artists are asked to complete a google docs room sheet template, a link to which is here and will be emailed to participants. Adjustments can be made up until Thursday noon before the opening. Room sheet information includes: artist name, artwork title, year and materials; website, price + explanatory text (optional). Max. total 150 words. As there will be no labels, your work will be identified by the room sheet. (Your details and images may be edited on-line by Articulate to limit the overall number of pages - if concerned, please check back by Thursday afternoon before the opening.) See 2017 room sheet as a guide.
Documentation/articulate blog
Images of works will be posted on Articulate's blog. Please feel free to email your preferred image with title and date, though Articulate retains the right to decide what is posted.
